Siam Park has hit it over the boundary, out of the stadium and into the Atlantic Ocean as it claims the title of world’s best water park for the sixth consecutive year.
When it comes to water slides, lazy rivers, tube racers, nowhere on planet Earth can rival the Canary Islands’ premier attraction. The Tenerife water park fought off competition from Dubai, Australia, the US, Brazil and Thailand to claim TripAdvisor’s coveted accolade. Naturally, it was also named the best water park in Europe.
As part of the 2019 Travellers’ Choice awards, users of TripAdvisor named Siam Park as the best world and European water park. The Tenerife attraction edged out Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark in Dubai to top spot while WestSide Water Park in Hervey Bay, Australia and Eco Parque Arraial d’Ajuda in Brazil and Orlando’s Disney Typhoon Lagoon Water Park made up the global top five.
In Europe, there were special mentions for Water Park in Faliraki, Greece and Aquashow Park in Quateira, Portugal. There was even a place for The LC in Swansea which made it into the top 15 best water parks.
Since opening in 2007, Siam Park has quickly established itself as being the most exciting water parks the world has ever seen. When designers wanted to create a Thai-themed attraction, they received special blessing from the Thai royal family, and once this permission was granted they developed a water park that really lives up to its billing.
Famous for its free-fall slides, enormous wave pools and exhilarating rapids, it attracts over 1 million visitors every year. Among the huge array of slides, the Naga River is an absolute must as you race your friends down this six-lane mat racing slide.
Do you dare test your nerve by attempting to conquer the Tower of Power? This vertical free-fall slide will see you plunge through sharks and stingrays to the splash zone at the bottom. Perhaps the Vulcano is more your style where you and three others slip and slide through the Behemoth Bowel lit up with lasers.
However, if you want to take life at a much slower pace then you can float down the world’s longest lazy river – Mai Thai River. With so much to do for all ages, it is no wonder why Siam Park is consistently voted as the best water park in the world.
