Take advantage of the May Half Term Holidays by jetting off to one of these amazing destinations around the world that are highly recommended by us. Check out the beaches of Malta, swim with dolphins in Turkey, splash at the waterparks in Cyprus and explore the many bazaars of Morocco.

 Malta

The beautiful island country of Malta is the perfect place to catch some sun and have some fun in May, as there are many beautiful beaches, numerous dive sites, some fascinating historic sites and lively towns. Start off your holiday here by exploring the main resorts, which include St Paul’s Bay, St Julian’s Bay, Mellieha, Sliema and Bugibba. Discover shops, restaurants and bars and if you want to cool down, head over to the Splash & Fun Waterpark on the coast halfway between St Paul’s Bay and St Julian’s Bay. Also nearby is the Malta Marine Park, where you can see amazing dolphin shows and you even swim with dolphins!

If you’re after beautiful beaches head to the small islands of Comino, which lies between the larger island of Gozo and Malta’s northern shore. This is where the beautiful blue lagoon is located, a stunning shallow lagoon that’s perfect for smaller kids, as the water is almost completely still. For more soft sandy beaches, take a boat trip over to Gozo and explore the shore. Learn how to dive and discover the amazing dive sites.

The average high temperature here in May is 24˚C, so you can look forward to warm weather and clear skies. Want to know more about Malta? See our recent blog post on 10 Reasons to Visit Malta.
