We love bringing you the inside info on the best places to visit around the world if you want a fantastic choice of things to do and a great range of different activites without having to venture too far away from your resort. That’s why our friday favourite has to be the resort of Ibiza Town, or ‘Eivissa’ as it is known by the locals. This wonderful town holds the title of Capital of Ibiza and rightly so as Ibiza Town has some beautiful beaches within 1km of the town itself making it a great destination even if all you want are some fantastic beaches to relax on just to soak up the sun – but remember to bring your sun lotion otherwise you’ll be donning that world famous British lobster look! And nobody wants that now do they!
Figueretas is the closest beach to the town and is bustling with local life, especially in the evenings and offers surprisingly cheap sunbed and parasol rentals! Talamanca is another great beach close to the town and with it’s gently curving bay shape, it offers great views of both land and sea and boasts plenty of space for all! There are quite a few beaches close to the town and they rarely have an entry fee so you won;t have to pay to enjoy the gorgeous soft sand and beautifully clear waters close to the shore! Also, don’t forget to keep an eye out for the water activities that are available in the summer season!
There are also plenty of sights and attractions to take advantage of such as Dalt Villa meaning ‘High Town’, which houses some of the most beautiful Spanish architecture on the island! This is a great area to explore and has an unusually romantic atmosphere making it perfect for couples holidays or even honeymoons! Another top attraction is Dalt Villa is the Archaeological Museum where you will be able to view a number of artifacts dating from Roman and Phoenecian times, making it a very fascinating spot that’s for sure!
There some great shops around the town including designer boutiques, many stores and street vendors, giving you a fine choice when it comes to opening your wallet and buying a little something! There is also no shortage of cafes, bars and restaurants so you can keep the family fed and energised throughout the trip!
